Yoga for kids

Yoga for Kids with Bibi

Bibi has been teaching children at 'be yoga' and several International Schools over the past 8 years.

Childrens ages vary from 4 to 12 years old.

Kids naturally imitate the things around them. In this class, Bibi introduces kids to yoga poses, which imitate animals, plants, heroes and objects in our natural environment. Think: tree, fish, mountain, butterfly, cobra.

Yoga builds strength, flexibility, balance and concentration. The poses stimulate, strengthen and stretch the body and mind. Yoga helps children concentrate and bring a sense of balance and well being into their busy lives which all of us are all too often exposed to, plus they are a lot of fun!   Practicing yoga helps children with their imagination and flow of creativity. By staying physically and mentally agile, it gives children the foundation to become more self-assured, clear-thinking, sharing and responsible people in this world. And we do need those!

Tickets are non refundable, except for partial adjustments during school-term breaks. Newcomers may join during term times.

Please contact Bibi about additional kids classes and kids yoga birthday parties.

Yoga and Art Sleep Overs

Occasionally Bibi runs kids yoga and art sleepovers to give children a chance to get to know each other better through the practice of yoga in the deeper meaning of the word. Yoga, 'India's greatest gift to mankind', is as much about being a healthy open minded individual as about living harmoniously and happily in and amongst a community. It is about accepting each other regardless of caste, creed or religion, what might be understood as being truly international. Sharing a vision of a future together as an 'extended family' is being fostered in these kids' classes.

For a few hours children are given a chance to explore and express their own physical, emotional and creative potentials through art, movement/yoga, visualization and storytelling and sharing a fun time without the hype and competition to which we're all too often exposed to in our world.

For future sleepovers please contact Bibi via the contacts section.
